17th / 18th Century Italian Maple Miniature Cassone Chest Box Claw Feet Antique

An Italian 17th / 18th century miniature cassone chest / table top document box in maple or cypress wood raised upon four claw feet with rosewood key surround.

Aged patination and wear to finish along with some minor wood splits. Later added hinges and reinforcements to the feet.
