A Minton parian mug moulded in high relief with a continuous theme of Bacchanalia revellers. Including three fauns wrestling, whilst the reverse features two fauns helping a young Bacchus ride a donkey, with moulded fruiting vine background set on a wooden trunk, the handle modelled as an entwined grapevine with fruit.

Unmarked but produced c.1835 - there are a few variations of this mug featuring different markings, I believe this to be one of earliest forms, perhaps the first due to lack of a Minton 'scroll mark'.

In great condition with no damage.

Height: 10.5 cm - Base diameter: 9.5 cm - Max diameter: 14.5 cm - Rim diameter: 10 cm
