Blue & White Pottery Pitcher Jug Vase Masked Spout German Eagle Crest 14"

A pottery pitcher made in Germany featuring a faced spout and the imperial eagle coat of arms of the German Empire (The Reichsadler).

Nicely designed white porcelain with blue overlay featuring elegant swirls and unusual arches towards the base, along with underglaze design work on its shoulders and latticework patterns. Likely dating to the second German Empire (1871-1918).

Hallmarked on the bottom with a mark perhaps linking it to manufacture in Berlin?

Fantastic piece with some flaking to the blue throughout along with a very small hairline crack on its shoulder (please view photographs)

Measures 13.75" in height, 6" across the widest point, and 4.5" across the base.
