A trio of Victorian majolica pottery novelty jugs in the form of seated bears holding large bowls for their honey which form the rims of the jugs.
A sheathed spoon forms the lifting handle whilst the mouth of the bear is the spout.
Often referred to as a syrup jug and was produced by Joseph Holdcroft around 1875.
It seems the company produced 3 different sizes, making this a complete set.
Heights: 21.5 cm / 28.5 cm / 32.5 cm
The small and the large bear are in great condition whilst the medium ones spoon 'finial' has been previously damaged and repaired - does not effect the handle strength.
