A superb 19th century gilt bronze double inkwell of a winged cherub playing the timbale drums.
Sat upon a paw footed base with and draped decoration. The inkwells are drums with the lids opening to reveal the ink compartments.
Minor scratches and patination along with wear to gilding through age.
There is an old solder repair to the hinge of the left inkwell along with a very slight bend to the drum sticks.
A high quality and weighty piece which would be a beautiful decorative addition to any home or office.
