A c.1780 Dutch Delft plate with sloping broad rim painted with flowers emerging from a fine lattice border.
The centre features a chinoiserie garden where a large pine tree in full bloom is surrounded by extravagant flowers whilst its edge is painted with traditional ochre colored slip.
The rear has a foot rim and 'hatchet' makers mark for De Porceleyne Bijl (The Porcelain Axe) (Delft, South Holland, The Netherlands, 1657-1803)
Diameter: 9" - Height: 1"
In good overall condition for its age with fritting to the rim and one larger chip as expected with this type of ware.
I have another available - feel free to message if interested in the pair.
