19th Century Victorian Classical Cherub Cupid Ceramic Pottery Antique Loving Cup

A large and rare 19th century Victorian loving cup with two stunning enamelled roundels of cupid handling a piece of sheet music, perhaps reciting it, linked by decorative bands of leaves and red berries.

Marked on the underside 'Cupidon' which may cause one to think it is of French origin, but sadly I cannot find any other traces of this model or design.

With one chip to the rim and a hairline crack to the base.
