Victorian Hand Painted Flow Blue & Gilt Ceramic Pottery Sugar Bowl Pot Sevres

An unusual Victorian ceramic sugar pot with seemingly hand designed flow blue floral scenes and gilt detailing.

The marks to the underside are mystifying, there is 'Sevres' and a Rd No G8400 - As far as I am aware registered British design codes only used numbers with no letters, and quite certain this isn't by Sevres. So likely to be bogus marks done as a means to pass as a 'genuine' product back in its day. This would usually indicate that the product lacks quality, however in this case it has been designed to a good standard.

In good overall condition with one chip to the rim. No spoon.
