Large Antique Natural Berber Amber Trade Bead Ethnic Moroccan Tribal - 64 Grams

A golden honey amber bead with a butterscotch swirl giving both a translucent and opaque appearance.

Amber has been used as jewellery in North and Sub-Saharan Africa for centuries, but large examples like this are rare.

Large in size measuring 60mm by 56mm at its widest points with a 31mm thickness whilst the hole is 5mm, weighs 64 grams.

It has passed tests for amber including specific gravity, acetone drops, static and taste/smell. As well as the ultraviolet fluorescent light test.
