Antique Pair of German Baroque Cherub Angel Putti Head Plaster Wood Wall Plaques

A lovely pair of cherub putto angel wall plaques, hand painted faces with remnants of gold gilt on the wings.. dating from the late 19th/early 20th century.

Well-sized in comparison to other similar cherub wall hangings, with loops ready to be hung.. possibly has incised makers initials of 'JK'?

Some dirt to paint and flaking with age but gives them a unique contrasted appearance.

Difficult to identify their composition, I'm lead to think a plaster and wood mix with the faces being wooden due to the range of tones present in the brown and how it looks, then encased in a plaster surround for the wings and back of head.
