An exceptional pair of high-quality scent bottles produced during the Napoleonic III Era (1816-1867) around 1840 and sold at Palais-Royal.
In a fantastic turquoise blue colour with gilt bronze ormolu mounts and hand-painted miniature scenes capturing the Classical architecture of Paris. Merchandising such a product would have appealed to the tastes of those on a European Grand Tour.
Height 6 cm - Base diameter: 3 cm
In excellent overall condition with light wear to gilt - one bottle still has some contents whilst the other is without its stopper.
